Manjyot Bhan Ahluwalia

Manjyot Bhan is a Policy and Business Fellow at the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions (C2ES) working in the areas of domestic energy, climate policy and business strategy. She contributes to many facets of the organization including state and federal policy analyses, Solutions Forum, businesses engagement through the Business Environmental Leadership Council (BELC), and climate resilience.

Prior to C2ES, Dr. Bhan was a research associate at the Center for Environmental Policy at American University where she worked with the ICT sector on chemical regulatory management. Helping to launch a multi-stakeholder partnership to accelerate the adoption of clean and cost-effective technologies for energy, water, and materials that protect health and the environment, she worked with government, business, finance, academic, and environmental organizations. Dr. Bhan has held internship positions on climate and environmental policy at the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).

Dr. Bhan received her Ph.D. in public administration and environmental policy from American University where her dissertation focused on the role of EPA-sponsored voluntary partnerships to address the limits and constraints of the existing U.S. environmental regulatory framework. In addition, she has a Master of Science in corporate sustainability from Arizona State University and an undergraduate degree in economics from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai, India.
