Corporate Climate Resilience Manager, Center for Climate and Energy Solutions

Tessa Ide is the Corporate Climate Resilience Manager at the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions (C2ES).

Ms. Ide works with businesses, policymakers, and other stakeholders to advance corporate action on climate resilience through the Climate Resilient Pathways Initiative. Ms. Ide facilitates a community of practice for companies seeking to build their resilience to the physical risks and impacts from climate change, and manages the forthcoming development of a global, standardized framework for corporate climate resilience.

Previously, Ms. Ide served as a Climate Adaptation Expert in the U.S. Department of State’s Office of Global Change, where she worked on the private sector engagement strategy for the PREPARE Call to Action, which secured commitments on climate resilience from 40 companies and partners. She also represented the United States in adaptation negotiations under the UNFCCC and Paris Agreement, and co-authored the 2025 U.S. National Adaptation and Resilience Planning Strategy. Prior to her role in the federal government, Ms. Ide worked at an economic consulting firm and gained experience working at the UN Climate Change secretariat and other climate policy non-profits.

Ms. Ide holds an M.S. in Foreign Service from Georgetown and a B.A. in Global Affairs from Yale. In her spare time, she enjoys alpine skiing, hiking, and gardening.
