On the introduction of the America’s Clean Future Fund Act:
“The America’s Clean Future Fund Act offers an ambitious, thoughtful approach to tackling both our near-term economic needs and our long-term climate challenge. Its investments in clean energy, innovative technologies, climate resilience, and hard-pressed communities would help rebuild the U.S. economy, while its delayed carbon fee would help put us on a just, cost-effective pathway to carbon neutrality.
“As underscored in our report, Getting to Zero: A U.S. Climate Agenda, carbon pricing is a key pillar of a long-term decarbonization strategy. We applaud Senator Durbin for his leadership towards an ambitious economy-wide response to climate change. We look forward to continuing to work with Congress, companies, and other stakeholders to forge durable, bipartisan climate solutions.”
