
Tim Carroll is Senior Press Secretary for the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions (C2ES), where he manages media engagement and strategy, executive communications, and acts as spokesperson for the organization.
Tim brings over a decade of experience in political, policy, environmental, and executive communications to C2ES and joins the Center after four years with the US Environmental Protection Agency. There he led communications and media relations for the agency’s regulatory agenda and grant-making programs, developing strategies for regulations to reduce climate pollution from the transportation and power sectors, remove lead pipes from the nation’s drinking water system, and regulate emerging contaminants like PFAS.
Prior to EPA, Tim served in Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan’s administration, leading communications around housing, planning, economic development, transportation, and sustainability. Tim has also worked on three presidential campaigns, leading advance and communication teams.
Tim is a graduate of Wayne State University’s nationally acclaimed Journalism Institute for Media Diversity, an honors program focused on diversifying the fields of media and communications. He hails from Michigan, the Great Lakes state.
