Lisa Guerra serves as the president of her family’s foundation, where she leads philanthropic and impact investing initiatives focused on addressing climate change, protecting the environment, advancing education, and expanding economic opportunity.

She also serves on the boards of the UC Berkeley Foundation, Village Enterprise, and the Silicon Valley Social Venture Fund (SV2), where she has supported advancing climate resilience and climate solutions. For the past decade, Lisa has advised and supported social impact leaders working at the intersection of technology, equity, and sustainability. She is particularly passionate about leveraging innovation and technology to scale solutions to pressing social and environmental challenges.

Prior to her current work, Lisa co-founded and held executive technical roles—including Vice President of Engineering and Chief Security Officer—at several software startups specializing in speech recognition and fraud detection. She holds eleven U.S. patents and earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.
