In response to a new Republican letter supporting energy and manufacturing tax credits and nuclear energy production:

“Federal investment in clean electricity, including nuclear power, can help meet the growing need for clean, affordable, reliable power; enhance American competitiveness and energy security; and reduce global carbon emissions. But most of all, it will support jobs and local economies. Rep. Dan Newhouse (R-Wash.) and the 25 Republican Members of Congress who joined him in expressing their support for clean energy tax credits are focused on what’s best for their districts and their constituents. These tax credits have broad and growing support in the Congress because they will help to deliver economic opportunity and a prosperous future in communities across the nation. C2ES looks forward to continuing to work with policymakers on both sides of the aisle to ensure that we invest in American communities and workers – and enable them to lead the way in building the technologies that power America and economies around the world.”
