Considerations and Recommendations for the Belém Mission to 1.5 Submission to the UNFCCC

Launched in November 2025, the Belém Mission to 1.5 is aimed at enabling ambition and implementation of nationally determined contributions and national adaptation plans to reflect on accelerating implementation, international cooperation, and investment across mitigation and adaptation. The Center for Climate and Energy Solutions recommends that the Belém Mission to 1.5 return to the heart of its original mission of enhancing international cooperation in the context of the outcome of the first global stocktake.
