Atlanta, Georgia Roundtable on the Battery and Critical Material Supply Chain

Georgia leads the nation in new battery supply chain manufacturing investments, including facilities to manufacture and recycle grid-scale batteries, electric vehicles, and battery components. On November 5th, C2ES, in partnership with Georgia Tech's Strategic Energy Institute and Advanced Battery Center, will host a full-day event to highlight regional leadership, identify focus areas for in-depth research and policy development, and continue a series of convenings across the region to collaboratively develop a regional roadmap for the battery and critical mineral and material industry. This event will bring together key stakeholders including: businesses of all sizes, state and local policymakers, academic experts and leading researchers, economic development organizations, nonprofits, and public- and private-sector partners.

SECURING THE BATTERY AND CRITICAL MATERIAL SUPPLY CHAIN IN GEORGIA

Our November 2025 roundtable in Georgia will explore opportunities relating to battery and critical mineral supply chain to produce policy recommendations promoting industrial and workforce development. Topics for discussion include: 

  • Opportunities to develop critical minerals extraction & refining capacity 
  • Economic development strategies to attract the battery supply chain 
  • Workforce development for the critical materials supply chain 
  • Bridging gaps from pilot to commercialization of innovative technologies
