U.S. Renewable Energy Source Maps

Every state in the continental United States has the potential to meet at least some of its energy consumption using renewable sources. The first map below shows the distribution and relative concentration of geothermal, biomass, wind, and solar sources (both concentrated solar power and photovoltaic solar power). The second map shows current and planned power generation from these resources across the country.
