States News: Western Regional Climate Action Initiative
In February, Arizona, California, New Mexico, Oregon, and Washington, established the Western Regional Climate Action Initiative. The states joint effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and address climate change will set a regional emissions target within six months, and by August 2008 will establish a market-based system to aid in meeting the target.

IPCC to release latest Assessment April 6
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change will release the summary of its latest assessment report on Friday, April 6, 2007. This report focuses on climate change impacts including how warming in specific regions may affect agriculture, coastal areas, ecosystems, human health, industries and water supplies.
