Libby Archell is head of communications and employee engagement at Alcoa Foundation. In this role she leads the effective leverage of Alcoa and Alcoa Foundation philanthropic activities and oversees the company’s global volunteer program, which engages over 20,000 employees across 23 countries.
Committed to remaining at the forefront of best practice in the constantly evolving fields of employee engagement and environmental sustainability, Alcoa launched the Make an Impact personal carbon footprint reduction program for employees and neighbors in 2006, becoming widely recognized as a pioneer of ‘green’ employee engagement. An advisor from its inception, Ms. Archell has led the transfer of Make an Impact across Alcoa’s global business, with the program now being implemented at peer companies including Entergy Corporation and Bank of America.
Ms. Archell joined Alcoa in 2005 and prior to taking up her current role led the company’s philanthropic and employee volunteer programs in Australia.
