Climate Change Targets
Duke Energy seeks to reduce or offset the CO2 emissions from its U.S. generation fl eet 17 percent from 2005 by 2020. It also aims to reduce the carbon intensity (tons of CO2 emitted per net megawatt-hour of electricity produced) of its total generation fl eet from 0.63 in 2005 to 0.50 by 2020.
