Director of Development
Bob Leipold is the Director of Development at the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions. In this role, he manages the Center’s fundraising and development activities, focusing primarily on foundations and individuals. Bob brings more than 25 years of experience in fundraising, management, and strategic leadership for a diverse group of major national organizations including American Forests, Mount Vernon Estate and Gardens, the American Red Cross, and the Smithsonian Institution. He led a major inter-agency fundraising initiative that created the Coordinated Assistance Network to improve disaster recovery and information sharing for Americans affected by disaster, and raised more than $30 million to support relief efforts following Hurricane Katrina.
