Expertise: Clean energy finance, state and federal policy to promote clean transportation
Matt Frades is a Finance Fellow at the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions (C2ES). Mr. Frades works to develop and communicate innovative finance strategies to advance low-carbon practices and technology deployment, boost investment in critical infrastructure, and build climate resilience.
Mr. Frades has more than a decade of experience working on the scientific, policy, and economic dimensions of climate and energy issues. Prior to joining C2ES, Mr. Frades worked as a Senior Associate at the advisory firm Garten Rothkopf where he provided energy and strategy consulting services to corporate clients. He also served as the technical advisor to the Governor of New Hampshire’s Climate Change Task Force.
Mr. Frades holds a Master of Public Affairs degree from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs as well a Master of Science in hydrology and a Bachelor of Science in geology from the University of New Hampshire.
