Expertise: State/regional climate and clean energy policies, EPA greenhouse gas emissions regulations
Kyle Aarons is a Senior Fellow at the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions (C2ES). Mr. Aarons focuses on state and regional efforts to address climate change and promote clean energy. He tracks and analyzes major state and regional policies, including California's cap-and-trade program. Mr. Aarons also focuses on federal policies that will be implemented by states, such as EPA regulations to limit greenhouse gases from power plants.
Mr. Aarons previously worked at Pacific Gas & Electric Company where he focused on air quality compliance, environmental auditing, and electric vehicle policy and education.
Mr. Aarons holds a J.D. and Master of Public Policy degree from the University of Michigan, where he helped found the Michigan Journal of Environmental and Administrative Law. He also holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in biochemistry and environmental studies from Dartmouth College.
