Anthony Mansell is an International Fellow at the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions (C2ES). Mr. Mansell tracks and researches international climate policy, including the development of emissions trading globally and key issues within the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), and helps facilitate dialogue among international policymakers and stakeholders.
Before joining C2ES, Mr. Mansell was Deputy Director for the Washington, D.C., office of the International Emissions Trading Association (IETA), a business organization that advocates for market mechanisms to address climate change. Mr. Mansell directed IETA’s efforts on reducing deforestation, and was a member of IETA’s delegations to UNFCCC negotiations. He is co-author of The World’s Carbon Markets, a collaboration with the Environmental Defense Fund detailing market-based policies around the globe.
Originally from the United Kingdom, Mr. Mansell holds a Bachelor of Social Science and Economics in Politics from Cardiff University and a Master of Arts in international economics from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
