Ernst & Young commissioned an independent research organization to survey 300 global executives across 16 countries and 18 industries on their responses to climate change issues in 2010. Seventy percent of respondents said they will increase the amount of money they commit to climate initiatives over the next two years, with most of the money targeted at energy efficiency enhancements.

Alliance to Save Energy's report "Scaling-Up Energy Efficiency Programs: The Measurement Challenge," examines the issues and challenges facing evaluation, measurement and verification (EM&V) for energy efficiency programs. It calls for the development of consistent EM&V methodologies to enhance the accuracy, reliability and credibility of energy-savings measurement and program evaluation as well as increased stakeholder participation in the process.
