Betsy Blaisdell, Senior Manager, Environmental Stewardship, Timberland

Betsy Blaisdell is the Senior Manager of Environmental Stewardship for The Timberland Company, headquartered in Stratham, New Hampshire. 

In this capacity, Ms. Blaisdell is responsible for implementing programs and policies designed to reduce Timberland's environmental footprint.  Specifically, she leads the execution of projects that reduce energy, chemical, and resource use at Timberland owned and operated facilities worldwide and supports internal teams in adopting more sustainable business practices. 

Aside from her focus on Timberland’s environmental stewardship, Ms. Blaisdell is also involved in several cross-brand initiatives aimed at improving the environmental performance of suppliers, including the Outdoor Industry Association Eco-Working Group and the Leather Working Group.

Prior to joining Timberland, Ms. Blaisdell served as the Industrial Energy Manager under NH governors Benson and Shaheen. She also co-developed the nation's first mixed plastics recycling/manufacturing facility under a grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Ms. Blaisdell's other work experience includes international environmental policy development with the U.S. Department of State and environmental education with the National Park Service.

A native of Marblehead, Massachusetts, Ms. Blaisdell earned her BS in Environmental Science and International Affairs from the University of New Hampshire and her MBA in Sustainable Business from the Bainbridge Graduate Institute.
